Sony FX6 Camera

Oliver’s full-format FX6 camera setup is optimized for ENG and shoulder-mounted run-and-gun work and can be de-rigged to fit on a well-balanced gimbal in under ten minutes.

SONY G-Master lenses

Sony’s new 28-70mm f2 GM lens has an extremely fast max aperture of f2, enabling a shallow depth of field film-look in a zoom lens and reducing the need to swap or indeed carry a set of prime lenses.

Three-point lighting

Oliver’s lighting kit includes the powerful yet compact Amaran 360c with a built-in ballast. Paired with the 90cm Aputure Light Dome III, it creates a large, soft light source that delivers a cinematic look with smooth, natural shadows.

The small Aputure Storm 80c can be used with a reflector as a portable key light in bright sunlight or paired with a Fresnel lens and barn doors as a back or rim light in a three-point lighting setup. Both lights are weather-resistant making them suitable for exterior shoots in most conditions.

Completing the kit, the lightweight (1.1kg) Amaran T2C tube light works well as a fill light, to add a splash of color to the background or can be suspended above talent as a rim light.
